Forgetful with Beasts

I forget sometimes what you are.
You have strong hands and weak eyes.
Balled up fist and trembling voice.
You break yourself and I scatter you.

I forget how bad I am.
A villain with tricks.
Crawling like a snake.
I pretend and you believe.

I forgot just now that your wild and poor.
But you scare me with your weak eyes.
I want to grab you and beat you up.
But I’m forgetful so you scare me instead.
